Adding more solar

Ok I must be wrong if you all think so.
I am of the opinion I was simply trying to help. Perhaps this chap, who thinks he knows best can help.(personally I think he knows best)
You tell me what you think, Have a look.
Real Life Install of mismatched solar panels ->
Be interested to see what you "think"

He is using panels of different construction with different output voltages, I did say providing they are the same voltage.

Not watched the whole video but pretty early on he says that he is wiring each pair in series and then all three series pairs will be in parallel so as long as the voltages are basically the same I think that is fine as he is not mixing the smaller amps in series with the larger amp output panels.

OK skipped to the end and he explains that the array voltages are slightly different and will operate at the lowest voltage so in theory his total efficiency will be limited to 90+% he acknowledges he should have run each array to it's own controller for maximum efficiency but he didn't want the extra cables and extra controller expense, nice neat install and good advice from the bits I watched skipping through.

No, I was referring to the original post by KUSKUS when he said, and I quote "Just after a bit of advice, just taken delivery of a new to me Hymer B680s and the dealer added to the existing solar panel ( 110 watt) another 120 watt , so probably 230 watt in total."
I had an enquiry re my adding solar panels, and talked to the specialists Sargent Electrical in Hull .
They told me you cannot mix solar panels of different watt out put. If you do then the lower panel will be the power you get from the mix.
IF, what I was told by Sargent is correct then KUSKUS now has 220 and not 230.
No offence mate, none of us are 100% right all the time, thats what's good about forums - the right answer is probably in there some where

incredible!! possibly a good idea to update regs, depending on whats fitted now
Hi johngood I only just got to see your reply, please explain what is meant by the above,

the Op said that the dealer said to replace all the solar panels. my reply was not to replace all the solar panels but might be a good idea to update the regulators when adding to the array because IMO theres probably a bigger gain to be had swapping from PWM to modern MPPT's.
