Adblue 10L for £14 at Halfords

I use one about every 3 months, but have 30 litres for my for my trip to Morocco.

I see your point but I won't be using adblue anytime soon. I like our Moho too much

Fiat's LPEGR solution functions by channelling exhaust gasses away after the diesel particulate filter (DPF), cooling them through a low-pressure EGR cooler and then recirculating them in advance of the turbo charger. Fiat says the LPEGR solution is ideal for motorhomes where simplicity, reduced weight and low running costs are important.:xThumb:

You can buy it cheaper than that at your local VW Audi dealer unless I am missing something? Think I pay about £12.49 for 10L ...

I have it for my Audi A6 and it's a fooking nightmare. I find my car talks to me all the time, it says you need adblue, you need oil, you need an inspection, right pissed off with the bloody thing. As much as I love the car in 8 months Ive done 18k and just constantly get told to go and see my audi dealer for a pit stop... I reckon it's a conspiracy to get me to upgrade from the Sline to the Qautro.

anyone with a few pots and pans can distil urea from urine at pennies to the gallon. just add a percentage of distilled water and some blue dye and you have a copy of adblue

urea being a natural compound breaks down fairly rapidly hence the shelf life

£14 for 2 gallons of piss is ridiculous

Are you suggesting that we collect our piss and boil it up in order to save a few pounds a year.....not for me thanks:xgrin:.

Or perhaps we can start a cottage industry as in the old days of the 'Lant' collectors that collected stale piss from Lancashire towns to transport into Yorkshire for use in the woolen industry.:xgrin:

Trying to work out if that's taking the piss out of Lancashire or pissing on the good folk of Yorkshire

when you've emptied a 10 litre, wouldn't it be worth refilling at a garage.

Adblue pumps require an annular magnet in the opening in the receiving tank to operate so it is almost impossible to fill a container though it is possible to purchase a suitable magnet separately but the process of refilling needs to be done with extreme care as any contamination in the adblue can cause very expensive damage to the system.

our company now switches off the adblue

I have operated several trucks using adblue and all have systems connected to the vehicles ECU, limiting power when no adblue is available. I am not saying it is impossible to bypass these systems but I have no doubt that the ECU will record the event and more than likely any interference will invalidate any warranty as well as breaking the law.

Hence the saying 'Piss poor'
And even poorer if you didnt have a pot
'Havent got a pot to piss in'
