Abacist goes to Spain

Ship announcement, imagine sexy French woman speaking English:-
Following the proclamation in France, in October 3020, masks must be worn in all pubic hair. (Public Areas)
On a more serious note, masks were be being worn in public in Santander at Carrefour, inside and out.
Straightforward enough; no beating about the bush ...

Microcar same as Aixam. Limited licence requirements in France and Spain. Very lightweight so can be towed on a trailer inside 750kg total, with the right trailer.

We were warned to park at the bottom of the car park as there would be a market today so we had to have a look around. Keen and enthusiastic traders shouting their wares rivalling Romford market for noise. Mostly cheap clothes, shoes, haberdashery and kitchen utensils. No food or fruit and veg! Now enjoying our cafe grande con leche brought with a delightful mini croissant!

next the walk into the city to see the Cathedral!

Bolet(u)s are a type of mushroom.
Where is Boletus when you need cheering up? He's a real fungi ... (y)

I'm auditioning with a new Showbiz Agency during our upcoming trip to Spain ... The proprietors are Don Carlos, Will Carlu :giggle:

Some pics from Santiago de Compostela which is a delightful city with lots of tree lined streets and green lungs on our walk down to the cathedral which is surrounded by a fabulous labrynth of tiny streets full of bars, restaurants and the usual grockle shops

I think the police were worried that the pilgrims might riot!

Bagpipes are evidently a thing in Galicia!

When the riot vans are there it normally means important people are staying at the hotel, heads of state often stay there. When my mate stayed there Angela Merkal was there.

Ah that might explain it! The very posh door is the entrance to the Parador Hotel in the Cathedral square.

yes " micro car sin carnet" used to need nothing to drive one but now a moped licence is required. Favourite here of old people who have never held a licence/couldn't actually pass a test or are blind.
whereas in France nothing is needed & they are a favourite of the aforementioned old people + drunks who have had their licence revoked.

I'm surprised they didn't stop you & ask for the fotos of them to be deleted ?
Yes they are closely linked to Scotland & are ardent bagpipers up there.

We went into town and found the oldest bar/restaurant for lunch and shared a couple of the dishes recommended. A Burrata salad which is Italian soft cheese and cream with a balsamic dressing and finely deep fried crispy onions, lettuce, tomato etc and grilled tenderloin of pork and chips.

With the weekend approaching we thought we’d better get somewhere for the weekend as the Spanish still enjoy getting away until mid-October so we have come south to Sancenxo to a nice little aire called Autocamper Sancenxo that has been here for 3 years evidently. Off season gets you free water, electric, dump, WiFi, toilets and a laundry room for €10 per night or €15 per night in the season. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. There is an on-site bar and bread orders are taken for the morning. Photos tomorrow!
