A short trip to Hull. (1 Viewer)

Left home (Sunderland)at 0700, 140 miles to go.
This trip is a mix of pleasure and an exterior addition to the van.
Arrived at Blue mill ccc cs at 1030, it's 12 miles east of Hull. Having 2 nights here.
Would have been quicker but Roadworks as always here there and everywhere.
Lovely site, quiet and peaceful. Nice and level.
Freshwater, grey dump, waste bins and chem toilet.
WiFi and phone signal very good.
Forgot to get main meal out of freezer this morning so off to the nearest licensed tea rooms, the spotted duck, a pleasant 25 minute walk away.
Had steak and ale pie, ok; filled a hole.
Back to van, had a glass of wine then a kip.
Afternoon turned out nice, had a couple hours sitting out in the sunshine.
Due in Hull at 1000 tomorrow for the "addition".
Can anyone guess what it is?

I'll go with the awning option.
Click on the "insert video" icon on the taskbar (above where you type your post / reply) and then it's a drag and drop thing - not 100% certain how it works for You Tube though

Hi Minxy.
Yes it is and Blue Mill is on the Aldeborough road near Garton. About 20 minutes walk from the spotted duck.
Owen is the farmer/site owner. Really nice and friendly.

Hi Gary.
We've had lots of good times with wife's sister and bro in law. We visit regularly.
First time some years ago was liquerfest weekend.
Nowt to do with booze, but liquorice of course from the "triangle".
Having said that, I did enjoy a bottle or 3 of liquorice beer.

Home now, put leisure batteries on ehu.
Last couple days not much sun. Down to 57# says my shunt.
Fridge/freezer pulls on average 2.2A per hour.
That and our other usage makes our 300W solar and 180A AGM batts look inadequate.
Having said that, last time we were down towards 50# was last September during the heatwave and we also had the maxfan going at highish speed.
Might have to think of lithium sometimes in the future.
Planning our next trip, Northumberland but want it to be dry at the least.
