Spitfire. The pilot gave everyone a short air display including a loop then back north from Beachy Head.

We were up there last Sunday, along with dozens of other people. We've done it, but we didn't like the town centre at all.

I wasn't keen on the town either, some of the locals were interesting but that was about it

Just a phone, s23. Used to have a camera but tended to leave it at home-so less photos! The phone is much easier and convenient.

An early evening stroll along the South Tyne riverbank behind our tiny village here in SW Northumberland. Rather cool and overcast with a threat of rain, a few returning Swallows following the river West nearly 50 counted in an hours birding but my highlight was watching a female Otter diving and hunting fish. Spring has certainly arrived here in the North Pennines.

Fantastic coastal walk today to a small bothy on the east side of Islay. We got there just as the heavens opened, this gave us some nice atmospheric views.
We also saw a golden eagle (sorry no pics!) which is always nice. Back to glorious sunshine on the same way back.

Can just see the Calmac ferry heading to the mainland.

Camping at the same place as the previous night - a small sign requests you stay no longer than 3 nights which seems very fair. We have it to ourselves again, in fact, we have seen nobody since yesterday!

Still not sure whether this is beneficial from a C02 saving point of view!

Our town, Nelson, has come up with a novel way to promote its Classic Car Museum.

About 30 years ago we bought a 4 acre field and planted about 2500 trees and shrubs to create a nature reserve, so hopefully we’re carbon neutral at least

There was a reason that tree was cut up by the way.
Here it is overhanging our neighbour’s house after high winds December 2023.
We were away at the time and trying to arrange a tree surgeon at Christmas time was not easy!
