The South Tyne valley yet again this time from a birding viewpoint near Barhaugh. Coloudy late afternoon and only 21 degrees unlike further South. First photo looking Northish second South toward Alston (Englands highest market town).

The Dresden Dom yesterday, rebuilt after the war the dark stone area on the left was still standing after the bombings, some of the old stone was used for the reconstruction and can be seen as dark spots in the new stone.

Southport Air Show on Sunday. Pilot not obeying the signs .
Not only did we get caught up in show traffic when we were travelling to the Caravan Club site (took us 2 hours longer than normal) but when we left on Tuesday we were stuck in the middle of the Orange Day parade on the Esplanade and missed out on our fish and chips lunch.

Yes, such a shame, it’s owned by local farming family, if you’ve been, you’ll have seen the eco friendly type holiday cottages towards the left hand side of the camping field, looking out to sea. They also own them and that’s what they plan on building more of on the camping field. Such a shame, it’s our favourite place by far in this country, even though you can’t book and have to just turn up and hope for the best!!!

Another little jaunt this afternoon. The Glendue Burn where it enters the South Tyne, lovely dappled light, an olde stone stairway and some new native tree planting. What’s not to like! Have included a map for the benefit of any funsters visiting SW Northumberland and wanting to wander this stunningly beautiful area, and /or bike the South Tyne Trail.

Boring but the beautiful white flowers caught my attention.

Someone had placed a head crown of blue and yellow flowers in the chapel. I was so pleased so many still showing silent empathy.

Isn't it nice in North Cornwall? Summerleaze Beach is my favourite beach in the South West.
We have fond memories of holidays at the John Fowler holiday park at Widemouth Bay when the kids were small.
The 'Foxy Club' gave us some peace and quiet for a few hours each day!
