We had a Dr at work whom we called Fran, lovely spanish lady, she had to own up after a few of us had hung up and/or been rude to the lady to wanted to speak to 'my Fanny' oops.
Also an A&E consultant, can't remember his nationality but the start of his surname was Phani and that was what he was referred to as.

Woke up to thunderstorm and forecast of heavy rain. Saw an opportunity to go out on bike and went to chanaz. Stopped for the tour de savoie mont blanc and in the end it was hot. We passed serrierres and they have a village party tomorrow so got the van and parked down here in anticipation of a messy night.

The end to a lovely weekend. Have to say we were impressed with the breakdown cover provided. Recovered within 20 minutes. And taxi provided to take us home. Two hour taxi ride which cost over 600€ all paid for by the breakdown cover

Yesterday's crossing on the Pont Avon, 2 separate emergency evaculations. Was interesting to see it keep the same height/speed as the boat. Arrived 3hrs late which wasn't a problem due to the circumstances
Hope the people airlifted off are ok.

Beautiful sunrise this morning at 05:30. HMS Belfast soaking up the rays. Laika the wonder dog found a squidgy ball so she was over the moon.

The col de grand colombier today. Lovely views. Some quite steep parts. Annecy and aix clearly visible. Photos dont do it justice. Mont blanc just visible above the clouds

This is menabilley and off the tourist track. Car park is 50p in a milk churn!

Its a walk around the headland to Polkerris. Images after the Gribbon day mark is St Austell Bay.

Could only mow half the back lawn last time because of weather.

Beautiful evening on the Antrim coast..
Some shots ...an evening paddle from Ballintoy to Ballycastle passing under the well known carrick-a-reed rope bridge...taking in a few caves... and a beautiful sunset..

The rock was a pinkish colour in the caves.
