Helen, is there anything to show what each of the planes is please? My dad used to be a spotter but can't identify a couple of them.
No listing for the planes but a peice about the artist

Hope Jim doesn't mind but I came across this photo of Merilyn I took in the late eighties on top of one of the twin towers. Thought it might be interesting because it's a view that no-one will ever be able to take again. Can you imagine the terror being that high up when the planes struck and not being able to do anything about it.

Blood running cold..... Stomach churning..... Heart pounding.....
Gosh it brings it all back, driving up a dual carriageway in Truro, hearing about the first one on the car radio & thinking what a tragic accident, then the second one and thinking - no, please no, don't let it be that people have come to doing that. All the cars just stopped. Those without their radios on must have wondered what was going on. There were blank white open-mouthed faces all around.

What a reminder. Thank you for sharing.

A nice 5 mile round walk . From Moffat up to Jenny's view on to the Moffat well, and back to the town . Stayed dry and very mild. Sat in a pub now ( Stag) just for a change !
Working up an appetite for tea.
