My dad's "war stories" are all based around his time in the Fleet Air Arm at Lossiemouth, so when we were up in that area last year I persuaded Him Indoors that I needed to go there on a bit of a pilgrimage. We spent quite a bit of time in & around the town (Ramsay MacDonald monument interesting) and took loads of photos of the pubs etc where I assumed he'd spent his free time.
Called in at my dad's on the way home and pulled out all the leaflets, photos etc to show him - "Oh I never went into the town" so what the heck did he do for 2 years???

We were there June last year.. Almost same spot... The beach was crystal clear and warm'ish... The landscape was so strange just before this place... Reminded me of surface of the moon in some places.. Such a lovely place to visit.. Enjoy

was the washing machine already there , such a shame somewhere so beautiful makes it even worse , must have been a local as well
