Bike ride today to find the secret bunker. I found it but as you get close there are cameras and don't dare go any further signs. So i didn't.
Then onto Overwater Marina.
Lots of MHs and Caravans on site. Lovely local and the pitches i saw were all hard standing with EHU but not sure if the ones in the field were.
Cafe Bridge 80 is licenced and the brekkie i had was spot on.
Nice ride.

Stayed there many a time, cracking breakfast. My daughters partner cleaned up the Jet Provost that's stands outside the secret bunker.

CS site owner found this Caterpillar, a elephant hawk moth, reading up and when threatened it draws its legs in and makes it head big to resemble a snake, which she thought omit was at first, second photo is a smaller one she found and it shows its head a different shape

Cut the grass up the yard today, well when I say cut the grass only got about 3/4 done when got puncture on front wheel. Job for tomorrow get a new inner tube.

The VW in the photo is the one belonging to BiL, the very same one that’s had over £7k spent on it and still won’t start only if it’s given a squirt of easy start. If interested you’ll find all the details in an earlier thread. It’s a shame as it’s immaculate inside. BiL ask if he could put up my yard as he’s had enough of seeing every time he looks out his kitchen window.

Probably end up selling as a non runner.

Actually I have to admit, it was my late brothers T shirt, he was 14 years older than me.

In 1970 he moved to Australia with his wife and young daughter, as one of the last £10 pommes, as a leaving present his work colleagues gave him a new slide rule, and he donated his old one, which had seen him through school and collage, which was nearly worn out to me.

I did learn how to use it at the time, but soon lapsed as calculators came along, and at some point it went missing.

But going through his things, I came across the slide rule he had been given, that I know that he used regularly throughout his electronics career, he always swore he could do a lot of things faster, than using a calculator.

So I have decided to try and teach myself how to use one again.

Considering we had absolutely no idea what these were other than thinking they were weeds or rhubarb they are turning out to be quite nice.
Hollyhocks.
There is a 3rd one that has not opened yet so we wait in anticipation
Lots of buds on them.
