As someone said recently - they could pin a UKIP badge on a performing sea lion and it would win in Clacton. Almost a walkover, despite the sneering Carswell, who with breathtaking hypocrisy stated that he left the Tory party so that he could make himself heard about issues. This is from Mr Rentaquote himself who was rarely out of the papers spouting about something or other..........Clacton will make history on Thursday when they elect the first ever UKIP MP!
As also posted above, Jaywick is well worth avoiding. An utter shanty town and one of the most deprived areas in the UK. Great Bentley is really nice and go a bit further north and you are into Flatford and surrounding area, used to be very prosperous under the Flemish wool trade with some lovely old architecture. Constable country of course, and Willy Lott's cottage still looks like the picture, as do the locks
