Having a couple of days to fill, first thoughts are head for water. Looking on the map Lake Aoos looked a good bet, a bit out of the way, but hey. Coming from the east it’s a cracking mountain drive and when you get there…… If you like being remote, next to water with stunning scenery able to ride your bike all around then you’ll love this place. After 6 months in Greece and 3 months in Turkey this spot would come high up on the list of this trip so far. I’ve subsequently seen it only mentioned rarely on the site, hence the mention now.

Looks great, thanks for the tip.

Looked into this and there is an official camperstop (no facs) on the western fringe of the lake and also quite a few 'unofficial' park ups around the lake listed on P4N.

If you open the link below there is a pdf leaflet about several official park ups in Northern Greece, the one for lake Aoos (Metsovo) is on P27
