A 1st for me today

Don't know what a wet roof shower is?
It's a propper shower cubicle i think. All formica walls. Plenty of room. Nowhere to put soap n shampoo stuff but that could be easily rectified. Water pressure good and hot. Towel hanging rail from the ceiling kept dropping down, another easy fix (wife uses it for extra cloaths hanging.
Mate, come on, you should know where to put the soap and shampoo. One goes on ya ed, the other up the crack of ya bum, between the toes, behind the ears, the other bits that aren’t used very much and that’s it 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🙄😄

Always use shower and WC in our van, once or twice had a look at the facilities on sites we have stayed on and I must say all have been spotless but we have a decent shower and separate WC so alls good😁😁

Have put a different head on the shower so hot water lasts longer😁

We are at home, but have been using shower and toilet in ours all week due to house bathroom getting done.

We have in the past given our bedroom to guests and moved into the MH - better than having to teach the guests how to use and abuse the MH.

I’ve seen these folk trudging to toilet block in all weathers carrying there toilet bag and big roll in odd looking footwear. Not for me.Stay in MH, stay clean, warm, dry, private, totally comfortable, how can communal facilities match that,Oh and the smell😳
Your using the wrong sites in the wrong countries. 😄😄😄 BUSBY.

To Further the conversation.
Do any MHs have experience, good or bad, for using the washroom facilities in an Auto Sleeper Nuevo?
Thanks for the anticipated replies.

For those of you you like us who use your on board shower well worth fitting a TMV, one of the best mods I've done to the van.

Don’t think I’ll ever take a shower in ours , at over 6ft tall I would be bound to break something !

As has already been mentioned, we all do what we prefer with our MoHo’s. I would not wish to be critical of anyone preferring to use on site shower facilities. Obviously no choice when wild camping (which we mostly do) or at a CL with no shower facilities. However, on those occasions when it suits us to use a full facilities site, the ”Faff Options” seem to be……

1. Shower in MoHo….. Wake up, remotely use smartphone to turn up Truma heating (if needed), get out of bed, have a cup of tea, get in shower before SWMBO (last one in wipes down shower!), put on clean socks/underwear/shirt, get dressed, eat Breakfast which SWMBO has prepared whilst showering, catch-up with emails etc whilst SWMBO has a shower……ready for the day. (y)

or…..

2. Use Shower Block…… Wake up, remotely turn up heating, get out of bed, have a cup of tea, put on yesterday‘s dirty socks/underwear/shirt, pack clean socks/underwear/shirt in backpack to take with soap box/shampoo/towel to shower block, check not raining and anorak etc needed, put on suitable footwear, wonder off to shower block, half-way there remember you have forgot crocks/flip-flops to use in shower to reduce risk of catching Athelete‘s Foot infection, return to MoHo to get wet footwear, head off back to Shower Block, check available cubicles for cleanest, enter cubicle hoping there is a dry area for hanging your clothes, undress, put dirty socks/underwear/shirt in backpack, shower and dry (hope you did not forget the towel), put on clean socks/underwear/shirt trying best to avoid getting wet in the water accumulated on the floor, repack everything inside the backpack, carry wet footwear used in shower separately, make cursory effort to leave the shower cubicle clean for the next person, walk back to MoHo, put wet shower footwear in bottom of your own shower to dry, eat breakfast (now rather cold) which SWMBO prepared whist you spent 30 mins faffing about using the Shower Block……. Ready for the day, except now waiting another 30 mins plus for SWMBO to use shower block. See that SWMBO has left her towel behind. Take it to Shower Block. Shout for SWMBO at entrance to Ladies Showers. Find she is already wet. Wait for another lady using the showers to arrive. Ask her to take towel to SWMBO. Back to MoHo. 20 mins later SWMBO returns with wet her as the shower block hair drier not working. To save time you have already disconnected the EHU whilst waiting for her. Fire up the inverter, reminding her not to use the hair drier on full power. Sit around getting increasingly grumpy. Finally, get to depart for the day an hour or so later than intended!!! (n)

Don’t ask how I know all of the above! We definitely always shower on board now.

Just a thought……do folk who avoid showering in their MoHo’s have similar views on Lavatory usage?:ROFLMAO:
Millcourt . How so very true..
However we just back from a trip up North and unusually, for us, spent time on real sites and both Mrs Poppycamper and I noticed many folk transversing between unit and toilet block in what looked like what my parents used to have....plastic macs (however these all of the hoodie version). They still had towel and toilet bag..... BUT have they solved the dirty cloths there and clean to change into by being bollocky buff under the plastic mac...
I always thought poeple who wore placky macs to be suspicious (parents obviously excepted)... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Temperature monitoring valve.

Our Hymer shower is good, a folding door so no wet curtain trying to stick to you and good elbow room, a soap dish but use a hanging ’basket’ thingy for the shower gel etc. (there is a rail round the wall inside shower) and good water delivery.

We have no problem with the shower curtain sticking because it is well away from our bodies - plenty of space.

Ok i give in, what's a TMV?
Thermostatic mixing valve, fit it in line with the hot feed to the shower. Don't have to flap about wasting water trying to get the temperature right.

I must have got lucky. Tap left for hot right for cold, put it in the middle and was perfect, never adjusted it whilst i had the shower.

We use ours all of the time, well 95% of the time as 95% of the time we're off grid. Being careful our pitiful 80l tank lasts 3 days, but showers are not luxurious due to wet n wash practice although the pressure is good and it is also in a wetroom with a single plug hole, shower area approx 2'x2'. It's a compromise that we knew about (in fact a conscious decision), in exchange we get 6' long sofas in the lounge and are only 6m long and 2.15m wide. We like to lounge, not spend time in the shower! I would really like a separate shower cubicle and a large water tank, but until I retire our MH does double duty as a commuter so we need something small!

Same here.

I really don't get these people who walk miles in their dressing gowns to try and catch other peoples veruccas........................
You won't catch verrucas if you keep your Crocs on,,You can always tell those that have never been in the armed forces or played team sports with communal showers.BUSBY.
