RichardnAnne say
maybe get towed down to the west coast of Africa

Would be nice climate wise but the problem with tropical and sub tropical climates is that they have an indecent number of bugs and animals that can kill you. 😎

I am guessing that you have never been to the west coast of Africa, (Ivory Coast. Togo, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea Gabon Cameroon Congo Angola etc) because having spent plenty of time in that region over the last few decades and witnessed a steady deterioration (apart from Nigeria which would struggle to become worse than it has ever been) I can assure you it is not a place one would want to move to voluntarily. The east coast is even worse.
One of the many downsides of the UK choosing to reduce itself to banana republic status, is that it doesn't have the climate for growing bananas. 😊

If so why does Russia play in them?
Aah, but a large part of Russia is actually in europe with the rest being in asia. It's only the european bit that plays:LOL:

reminds me of working with many as customers.Knew every trick in the book & then some. Even the reasonably honest & decent ones had trouble lying in bed straight.

Surely you could make the journey into a holiday by visiting different stopping places. At 74, I am very nearly your age, I actually like having little jobs to do like cleaning and so on and, as every day is a holiday, it is a shame you feel it is a waste.
Enjoy every day ☀️
Thanks Annie. We have done as you suggest in the past but ours is a relatively small PVC and isn't very comfortable for spending a long time in - e.g when it's dark (and cold!) at 6 pm.

And if you're going to explore somewhere you need to stop earlier - which cuts down the time that you're driving each day and so extends the number of days you're travelling. We are hoping to spend about 14 days returning from Portugal in June.

I do enjoy practical activities while we're away but as for cleaning - I think we have very different ideas of what constitutes a holiday. :giggle:
