6kg or bigger gas bottle.

What kinda money for a refillable set up?
Just looked£226 11 kg single cyl kit incl filler. Even with LPG at the current price 11 kg is about "£22 to fill from empty. I don't know how that compares to just short of two 6 kg calors

Gasit link here.

Refillable bottles come in 6 kg, 11kg & 14kg, most people opt for the 11 kg refillable.

You can get the dimensions from the manufacturer's sites, Gaslow, Alugas etc.
The bulkhead regulator needs to be above the top of the bottles.

And with some (all?) of the refillable bottles the shroud/collar at the top can be unbolted and removed to reduce the overall height further. Example: Alugas 11kg from 600mm to 575mm (to top of Multivalve).

You could fit a refillable gas tank to the underside of your chassis and you would then gain the locker space for additional storage.

This is my set up on a 175 ( excuse the junk).although it looks like there is more space for a bigger bottle, there isn't.There are 2 X 6 kgs gaslow with the filler on a bracket, attached to a wooden block for reinforcement.
I was going to put the filler in the skirt but have had no issues filling( no refusals) so haven't bothered yet.plus I have to pluck up the courage to drill a big hole in the skirt somewhere. The only issues I have is that to take the bottles out I have to take off the bracket which is just a faff, but I have only had to do that once when I. thought I had an issue with a bottle not filling .If you decide to go to 1 refillable bottle and 1 calor with a fill point inside ,just make sure you can pull out the the calor bottle easily. I had two underslung tanks fitted. Although our heating keeps the van lovely and warm it eats gas?
