44 bloody miles

The new one is a BMW R12 nineT. Pics have been posted.
I’ve missed your pics, but they’re nice looking bikes. Don’t think you’d add a top box to one of those for aesthetic purposes. ;) Maybe soft luggage, tank bag or tail bag on a rack?

You must really like it as you still have it a month later.

To be honest i think the next time i have new tyres fitted ill be going to main dealer.
Last lot from a local independent. Did nowt but piss me about . Ordered wrong tyres, then refused to remove the wheels. Then once id taken them off Said he would have to send them somewhere else as he couldnt do spoked wheels. Christ, i used to do them in the shed on a home made press.
Whats wrong with people . 😕

3 weeks actually and i've been away for 13 days of those 3 weeks.
If i could get my hands on a 2024 Honda CB1100 RS this new one would indeed be up the road;)

Big surprise.
Looking on tinterweb i was pricing a tyre at £180 to £190, then i would have had to ponce about getting it fitted.
Took the bike (the mender man plugged it yesterday, or day before can't remember) to BMW Williams Motorrad Manchester.
Biscuits, cake 2 coffees and a diet coke, new Conti Tyre identical to the one on it, fitted, total £184.44p.
Came away happy...........well sort of.
Oh and BTW i lied about the miles, it had 46 on not 44, sorry.

I think main dealers have realised that they can't get away with overpricing for consumables like tyres.
Ive heen told by Bmw in Rotherham thst they will match any like for like quote i get on tyres.

A lot of smaller bike garages won’t change the tyres on my bike,R1250RS, and the BMW main dealer is the same price as those that will. They don’t muck me about and I can sit and work while they do it or take another bike and come back later. Main dealers aren’t a rip off for everything .
