Rally 3f's Meet - With A Difference - 4/8/22 To 9/8/22 - Page 17 More Details #501

Event Details Discussion
This was our first rally ever. Can only agree with everything that's been said. Met some wonderful people. Learnt a few things and had a wonderful time. Forgot how much I liked caffreys. Stopped off at shardlow marina and had to have more🍺. Taran_las please don't touch any wiring if you think that tower was blue😀😀
 
Big thanks to Terry and Lisa, Bob and Denise and all the helpers for what can only be described as the Carlsberg of fun meets.
Brilliant venue, great entertainment, fabulous food, friendly staff and last but not least a great bunch of funsters who helped to raise a great amount of money for charity

Thank you Bob n Denise, Terry n Lisa, Ron n Vicky and all the background helpers, from the moment we arrived to the minute of leaving everything was brilliant, the burger bbq, the hog roast, sunday carvery , all the laughter that was had, singing and dancing and the quiz (thank you Ken) and finally the karaoke
Thank you Bill for trying to fix our refrigerator too and to our neighbours who were very patient when we had to run our gennie as something was draining our energy

A big thanks to the Drax Sport n Social club management and team, very friendly and helpful staff
such a lovely venue

And of course the main reason for the event was raising money for the charity which was very successful …

looking forward to next years meet on August 3rd 2023

First I want to get my complaints out there

1.

That’s done that, what was there to moan about 🤔😁👍

Great meet, many thanks to all involved 👍

I forget now what the F’s all stood for, but I ended up with a fix 😁👍 thanks Terry and Rob not only a top DJ, he is excellent at fitting into small spaces 😁

We walked miles, great test for Bevs rebuilt knees and they seemed to perform well, it’s 4.3 miles round the perimeter fence of Drax Power Station , it didn’t look that far from where we parked 🙂

We also went in search of some local geo caches 🙄 what a waste of good drinking time 😁

Loved it all really, topped off the weekend of fun, great to be back out with people again, it’s been a long time for us since we did a Fun meet 🙂

What a fantastic rally many thanks to all the organisers and helpers.

Well done on the £4000 raised for the cancer charity which Bob and Denise will be so delighted to pass on to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where Denise is being treated.
 
Several people mention putting on calendar for next year. Has this been confirmed? Can we register? Or do we have to wait till nearer the time?

Hi, the venue has been booked for next year for 3rd - 8th Aug as this was the only available date all year and we needed to be quick….but a list won’t be started until later this year/beginning of 2023.

We don’t normally do this, but as a thank you to those that supported us this year, an invite will be sent to ask if they would like to attend (yourself included)…..this will be via a conversation (pm).
Places spare after that will be offered on the open forum.

Also…..
Confirmation of Charity totals to follow……just tying up final details.

A list won’t be started until late this year or beginning of next year, so keep an eye out 😉

Loved the way you organised and carried out this rally .It was the best weekend away anywhere since we have been motorhoming .We cannot wait for the next one .Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts . The bonus on top is how much money was raised .Once again thank you all .xx

Forget to thank Beacons Mike .for having a look at my elevating floor .Got a new relay still not working got an auto Electrition coming to have a look at it.Mike thought it could be the switch .will find out when he can get to look at it as he is pulled out with work .I have used him before and he knows what he is doing.Once again thanks Mike for
