I’m away at the moment and have no idea what my Google password is. It seems I have to enter it even though my iPad is happily downloading Gmail, so must be ‘signed in’, which strikes me as odd. I’ll have a look when we get home at the weekend.

I may be wrong….but if you rely on the “what’s new” and that particular thread goes off the first page, then that is how you can miss any updates etc

That is true. But if you sr involving a thread the. The bell symbol along the top of the page will show that there are new additions to these threads.

That all works. It’s the email notifications I have switched off.
