enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
I have been told that the no entry if over 3500kg signs in France only apply to lorries and trucks if accompanied by a pictogram of a lorry, so motorhomes are still allowed ...... If no lorry then it applies to all vehicles and obviously motorhomes are not allowed if over 3500kg ...! Can anyone confirm please.

I wonder what will happen when/if the 4250kg limit comes into force for EV's.....?

I wouldn't get too excited by it as they are commonly ignored by the native camping caristes. Just be careful of ones that seem to be going into town or village centres because it can get narrow.

I find the whole thing a tad confusing in France. Let’s pick a piece of road regularly navigated by Funsters, the Bordeaux ring road, N104 East of Paris etc Most of this is 100 or 110kph with clear signs showing 80kph for 3.5T and above. I don’t recall if the have the lorry sign too.

Let’s assume they do have the lorry sign and that you’re driving a Motorhome over 3.5T, well then you are limited to 90kph anyway and most Waggons are driving at the same speed… no differential in speed… no advantage gained?

What about an approach to a village with a blanket 3.5T (no lorry) sign and an aire 500m further in. In the UK, there is the except for access principle, is that the same in France?
