And, BTW, if it is actually delivering 300W, it could only run for 2 hours before draining the battery down to a comfortable level from full.Seriously, it isn't about the voltage. All these inverters convert 12V to 240V. However, the wattage is extremely important. 240V to run a laptop charger (at 65W) is very different to 240V to run a multi-unit house air conditioner (3000W). Your 110Ah battery is good for about 300W, regardless if the inverter can deliver more.

Thanks the cooler is not a house hold item in the conventional sensese inverters convert 12V to 240V. Are you sure about the 140A, this seems huge for a laptop. Mine is max 2A at 230v so roughly 24A at 12v, but thats just the rating of the power supply, in practice its actual power consumption is half that. 140A at 12v is the sort of region of a large hairdryer or a fan heater, around 1.5Kw.I have a laptop needs 140A beyond capabilities of a 12V socket. But agree, if possible look at 12V charging, or USB charging for gadgets as much more efficient.
Thats a bit strange, those evaporative coolers are normally able to run on 12 volts as they're only powering a small fan ?Thanks the cooler is not a house hold item in the conventional sense
Its a new on the market cooler by cooledge not got yet but its a compact item about size of a small fan heater
Assuming its only 240v but would be handy to have a 240v socket in mh for when off grid. I don't take laptop as everyone is going on about. Phones us usb off 12v adaptor. Info I was after was a good make and price
Oops sorry 140W not A, still too much for a 12V socket type charger. Designed as a gaming laptop so 17" screen and hefty graphics card. Are you sure about the 140A, this seems huge for a laptop. I hope it has 12v but would be handy to have for other thingsThats a bit strange, those evaporative coolers are normally able to run on 12 volts as they're only powering a small fan ?
I'd check the spec and go for a 12 volt one.
There's a lot of waste energy in running an inverter if you don't have to.
That seems remarkably cheap, for a 3000w Pure sine wave invertor.I paid £102 for it, was on offer, now £139, I hard wired it in with some 6mm cable as the ones that came with it weren't long enough.

Folk are thrashing about because we don't know what you want to use the inverter for. An inverter is the name given for a thing which will produce 240 volts AC (mains power) from your 12 volt batteries.Hi I have a mh with solar panel on but want a 240 socket for the odd gadget when not on hook up. Best way to do please
That's because it's what most people would call a 1500W inverter, as it says in small letters on the label. The '3000W' bit is the peak or surge capability, for a very short time. That seems remarkably cheap, for a 3000w Pure sine wave invertor.
