any idea how far the nearest pub is from the meet ? will need food in between the booze...:Rofl1::Rofl1:

you mean you need food Friday when you arrive, or in the evening when socialising cos im sure something can be arranged. There is a fish & chip shop in the village and a Chinese take away, kebab & pizza place, someone will be able to assist you. There is also a fairly large co op too.

There will be nibbles etc on Friday evening/night :thumb:

If we are in before you I will give you a lift up chippy on my trike :thumb:
If you can HOP on :Rofl1:
Groan,,,

The chippie is fine, but the bloke on the trike is a bit dodgy, spend all his time talking up how good Yorkshire rhubarb is,,, NO EVIDENCE AT ALL... I am still waiting for a taste, his better 1/2 is really nice though...

Hi Glen

If you can come at short notice and we have a cancellation you would be welcome, but at the moment we are full, we have not had a reply from some funsters as to when or if they are still coming. Will PM you when we get a cancellation :thumb:

For those like me that don't do coordinates, maybe somebody can explain their use to me this weekend!! :thumb:

David

Hi David

Please be careful using the post code as this does not take you to the campsite it takes you to Haxey Keys which depending on which way you approach, Misterton is either passed the Haxey Gate pub, or you have passed the campsite on leaving the village of Misterton. Just look for the Funster flag flying from the campsite flag pole and of course fun signs.

Or follow the smoke from ShiftZZ van :Rofl1::Rofl1:
Using the co-ordinates will take you straight there, Mick or some other funster will show you how to use them :thumb:

can show me too please....

Or, if you need decimal (like the truck sat nav several of us have) they are N 53.448148 W 0.849629

Co ordinates for this meet are N 53" 26" 53.26" W 0" 50" 58.26"

As if the Post Code wasn't complicated enough  and even that is wrong

I don't think my Tom Tom takes coordinates of any kind, but always willing to try something new

See you all soon

If your there late Friday, just open the van window and follow the smell, there should be one or two Burstners there by then...Its sort of a cross between iodine, old socks and rancid cat food, a bit like Eccles Cakes...

On my TomTom Go Live 820 the co-ordinate input screen is accessed via the second page of the "Navigate to" menu.

David,

Coordinates are great for navigating to your exact chosen location, even to the lamp post or drain cover outside your property for example.
See me at Misterton, (and anyone else unsure about coordinates), and I'll gladly show you, and also how to use coordinates from Google maps, and Microsoft's Autoroute. The mud will soon become clearer, I promise.

Cheers for now,

Jock.
