I saw a van today and put a deposit down subject to a test drive and habitation test (its being done by some one i have heard good things from)
I have never had the auto version so am not the slightest knowledge wether its normal for the handbrake to fall to the floor . I think only someone who has had one or has used or has talked about it before will know or maybe another model.
Thanks in advance

Thankyou but no This post is referring to the normal operation but that it gets in the way of the drivers side swivel seat
(the fix for that is to tilt the handbrake to one side with spacers)

What i saw today need to know if its normal for the automatic van that the handbrake just flops to the floor very different to the manual gearbox
I have had probably 15 masters in 40yrs but never an auto

We had a Mercedes based A class which had that feature, very useful as it stops you tripping over it and as other shave said enables easy seat swivel.

The second post says the lever drops down after you've pulled it up.

Yeah, my Renault Master (2005) handbrake drops to the floor once you've set it and returns to the floor position as normal when you've released it too (y)

Yes mine is the same, quite normal, had my Renault auto 12 years and the quick shift system similar to the Fiat comformatic but reliable šŸ˜ Iā€™ve just gone and done it now šŸ¤£

Mine stays up when applied and stays there until I release it ,then it goes to the floor.
