NOOOOOOO! ?

You'd end up trying to put loads of motorhome hard standings on it and that would seriously devalue it!

Went to 'visit' the bungalow yesterday, first time since we returned from Spain, and its as lovely as ever!

It does look lovely - just the wrong area for us - good luck with the sale, you are going into the strong selling season now.

Spoke to agents yesterday and they had someone booked in for a viewing but due to the current situation the chap has cancelled (he had to drive a distance and didn't want to risk it) so after a long chat and no likelihood of a sale anytime soon we've made the reluctant decision to try to rent it again as apparently the rental market is extremely hot at the moment with people fighting over properties!

Anyone want to rent a bungalow?

Before you know who says it ......
£1.00 a week ? :giggle:

Good luck for a good tenant

Nice property, very tidy and up together. Should sell quickly, bungalows round here sell in 1-2 weeks. Just read your latest post, yes due to Corona, it might slow sales down.

We are looking to buy, not further north I’m sorry.

Tried to book a viewing in Cheshire yesterday but the agent said they are not arranging viewings !
Its almost level with Manchester :giggle: as for viewings that's because the occupied property owners don't want strangers in who could infect them, with ours being empty they would still do viewings if people wanted to.

If looking to buy for rental investment and area not relevant, try around Mildenhall, Lakenheath in Suffolk. We have a three bedroom bungalow, valued at £235,000.00, we get £1080.00 per month, our daughter has just purchased a two bedroom bungalow for £170,000.00, her second rental, which she is preparing and will rent out at £990.00. She used to rent the house out she is now living in, a large three bedroom detached house for £1400.00. We only let to the American forces personnel. Would not even consider renting to English. You are guaranteed your rent, any problems with the Tennant’s we only have to ring the base and they will sort it. We did this previously for nine years had no problems at all except fleas were found in the carpets by one of the following tenants, had them treated, no problem. Usually tenancy is about two years, could be longer.

Is it a shared driveway .

Minimum we should get is £550 as bungalows are more desirable than houses and would suit someone with mobility issue as it has nice wide doorways and although the bathroom has a bath it could be changed to a walk-in shower if needs be. Its in a quiet spot, detached with a huge drive and lovely garden so we're hoping it won't take long to let.

Nope the lovely drive is all ours, you can easily get 4 cars on it if you want, also motorhomes, caravans etc are allowed as the building line is right at the far north of the drive - we sorted this officially with the builders via our solicitors when we bought it as we were going to move there originally so needed to be able to put our MH on the drive.

Otherwise known as sunny Scunny. A beautiful part of the country. Lived in the area for 6 years

Agree, it's nice round there and Scunthorpe has all that you could possibly want on hand and the people are extremely friendly, hence why we were going to move there ourselves.

I loved that area, used to live in Kirton in Lindsey up the road. Handy for the ferries to Europe. Great motorway links as well.
we made the decision to move right up north, so coming back south is no chance financially, which is a pity as it looks a great buy. (y)

I'd check how these rent holidays announced yesterday (which I welcome) might impact on you over the coming months. It's unclear at present if the private landlord is expected to take the hit or will be recompensed by the government.
