Seeing as others are putting their properties on here I thought I'd do so too! :)

Feel free to offer silly comments etc ... the more the merrier! :D

Can’t believe you’ve posted the location of the house you want to sell. Think about stalkers, for heaven’s sake.

It's a lovely place and the front drive is massive, big enough for a large MH with space for a couple of cars (tandem) at the side. Despite it being a newish build there's no restriction on having a MH, caravan etc there either.

I'm not worried about that - I would positively encourage it ... a stalker might want to buy it! ?

Gota say I can see it's small but that is silly money as in cheap, but then I don't know the Scunthorpe market.

It's a bit deceptive as being modern it has the wider 'wheelchair friendly' doors which can make the rooms look smaller when compared to older properties with narrower doors. When we had a new boiler put in we purposely had a larger one than needed so that anyone buying it who wanted to extend into the attic or put on an extension wouldn't have to replace it.

... the very definition of one! ? How's your village?

That looks a nice property for the money, It would’ve been perfect for me if it was near Glasgow. Good luck getting it sold.

Christ that's cheap..
I think my conservatory cost more than that :D
Slightly too far for a daily commute to Stonehouse though.

Does it come with a BOGOF? Just asking like as my ex wife lives there....

Bungalows are starting to become sort after properties for the elderly due to the small number of bungalows being built of late. For those with an elderly mum or dad unable to get up stairs this would work a treat at that price.

Lenny and I live pretty close to each other that bungalow is on par with mine size wise maybe bigger garden looks bigger. I reckon you couldn't build one down here for that money anyhow good luck with the sale.

A bit of background ... we bought it originally back in March 2006 with a view to us moving there later that year but as we all know the housing market went into a slump and our plans changed, so we rented it out for the next 13 years. We put our own home on the market and gave our tenants notice in the summer hoping that we could then move there when our place sold, of course that hasn't worked out either as the market where we are is totally and utterly dead for properties in our price-band so took ours off the market as it was just a waste of time advertising it especially with the time-wasters we got coming round to view.

So, the question was what to do with the Scunthorpe bungalow? We couldn't just sit on it and therefore decided to refurb and sell it, consequently I spent nearly 3 weeks living there getting it all sorted, hubby came for the daytime as we had an elderly dog who needed to be at home overnight so couldn't stop over. It was a LOT of hard work to get it totally decorated etc, jobs done, new oven, hob, sink installed etc, but looks, and is, lovely. I enjoyed my stay there and with a lovely south facing rear garden that the lounge overlooks it was glorious with the gorgeous weather at the time.

We'll be sad to see it go but decided it would be just that bit too small for us and want to get away abroad for longer periods in our motorhome so don't really want to spend time extending it. Until we sell our present home, hopefully sometime next year, we can't even consider moving there anyway so it just doesn't make sense to hang onto it - someone will get a nice home that they can just move into and enjoy, hence why we did all the work on it.
