There aint many teetotal Funsters... OF THAT YOU CAN BE SURE...
A few maybe, I used to be one but now I am back to "moderation" level..

"BEER O'CLOCK" is a very common saying... :)

I wish it was us as well,, !!!!!! I can't go..... Heart doc say " NO" !!!
Look's like being a good rally, nice mix of hard core Fun rally members and some newbies.... :)
 
Hi Ginny, just had notification from Brittany Ferries that our sailing delayed and we will now arrive Santander Sat 28th instead of Thursday 26th expect us when you see us but save us a pitch :cry:

Look's like the BENIDORM GANG are de-camping.
That's the bar sales going down in Beni., :)

Just a tip, stock up on your spirits etc,,, They wont be as cheap as Benidorm..

Another Benidorm escapee Ginny we will be arriving 28th also:-) when you redeem all these free drinks you gonna miss most of the rally :-) thanks for keeping everyone in the loop.

Hi all,
Happy!!!! All set up & sorted, thanks to Ginny & Mike for there help, love the pitch & site, the toilets are really great, sun was out all afternoon, got a free drink on arrival........ X

Sorry you are delayed, there will be no problem with the pitch, the rally site is enormous! If you could let me know when you know you will be arriving.

Hi Ginny,

We are aiming to get there on the 2nd - Travelling on the early tunnel on the 28th. Although we were always booked on the rally thread we didn't know if we would be in with a chance of moving up the reserve reserve list, so to enable us to book early with Eurotunnel to get a better price, we booked direct with the site, to make sure of a pitch.

See you when we get there! Can't wait. (y)

Lidl, Aldi and Mercadonna are a bike ride away as well, so stock up on your beer!

If anyone is calling at Mercadonna before arriving, could you please bring us a couple of cases of Steinburg lager, 22 cents a can if you buy a case of 24!

Hi, are you Steve Davies? If so that has solved the query the owners identified.

There is lots of room on the rally site, all the motorhomes have moved off now and there is just Rory and ourselves being blown around in the brilliant sunshine!

No we are Cliff and Geraldine Muse. We booked directly with the site some time ago. I think Steve gave them our forum name - Cliffandger.

Roncab - staying for a couple of nights on 20th + 2 motorhomes unfortunately the rally will have finished by then, but we wish them a good journey.

We got as far south as Limoges only to get a message to say that Lin's sister is quickly losing her battle with cancer and the hospital has put on, what we assume, is an end of life plan.
So as you would expect we have done a U turn and are now heading north to the UK.
Tonks, we are not sure what the timeline is going to be so if anybody wants to take our place please let them have it.
Our intention is, if at all possible, to attend some if not all of the rally but if by the time we know our eta all the places are taken then we'll just book in and pay the full rate.
If at the end of the day we don't make it, it won't be for the want of trying.

I think it's pretty safe to say now that unfortunately we won't be able to make it to the rally, so there is a spare place if anybody wants it.
We have a funeral to go to on the 27th and another on the 2nd of March.
Add that to the fact that we have both been knocked out by a bug we've picked up over here I don't think we'll be in any condition to get to Benicarlo in any fit state.
We expect to get a ferry from Caen on the 4th March and potter down to Portugal may be ending up at Mikki's place near Faro. So if any funsters from the rally end up there at the same time as us you can rub it in as to what a good time we missed.
