Rally 2 - 16th March 2015 - Benicarlo, Spain

Glad to see that newer / first timers have had a good time, as well as the "regulars"...
Another thank you to Ginny for getting you lot all sorted.
I will email the campsite in the week to thank them and see if we can get some sort of ongoing Funster deal for any of us who are travelling past that area...
Hope to see some of you later in the summer at UK meets, ref my medical problems.. Watch this space as there may be something happening very shortly.. :)

Sitting at Villasol, Benidorm, on our way south. Just wanted to say thanks for a lovely rally. The site was brilliant, the owners were so helpful and the Funsters company was second to none!

Looking forward to meeting you all again sometime in 2015! Safe trips to everyone on the move, North or South!

Home safe and sound and cold, will take a week to sort everything:( Thanks to Ginny and Mike and hope you have a good stay in Benicassim. Thanks to all the funsters for the good time, safe travels and enjoy the rest of your stay in Spain. Pauline and Mike.(y)

Ginny and me just want to say a big thanks to everyone for making our first rally such a fantastic memory. It really felt quite sad leaving today, the site was great and the company second to none. Hope everyone travelling home has a safe journey and everyone else staying on in Spain has a fantastic time.
One last great big thanks! (y)

Thank you all for making us welcome, have had a fantastic time and met some wonderful people. Hopefully see you all again in the future. Thank you Ginny for all you assistance. :)

Lin, Nige, Biskit, Indiana and Boston :D

Well we were very sad to leave this morning, only Paul left on the rally site - apart from a couple of Germans who sneaked on yesterday!

We had a great time, everybody took part and the owners were fantastic, from the day we arrived over a month ago they could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this site to anyone. We will certainly be coming back in the future.

Thanks Steve for setting everything up with the owners, I have enjoyed being liaison and feel more confident about running a rally in the future.

The best part has been meeting old friends and making new, everyone has been wonderful - and Rory has been a revelation!!!

We look forward to meeting you all again in the UK.

Ginny and Mike

We have sadly now left Spain and our on our way home, on the aire in Le Boulou tonight which is very busy, but a nice little town.
We have had a fantastic 4 months. Thanks to all the Funsters in Benicarlo for the last 2 weeks, thanks to Steve for picking a great site, the owners were superb they couldn't do enough for us, but the Funsters showed the locals how to party
:party2:
Thanks to Ginny and Mike for all your help with the meet.
Cheers
Ed and Shirley

Thanks Ginny, hope you both enjoy the rest of your trip and keep throwing the ball for Charlie. Max would be sooooo jealous, as would certain Labradors from across the road :D

We have made it to the aire at Roanne near Lyon which is very nice on land between the La Loire and the adjacent canal. 6 euro a night. (Good FON wifi available.)

Last night we stayed on the aire at Saint Flour south of Clermont which was fine, at the bottom of the hilltop town, got busy and was full by 5pm.
On to Lyon tomorrow.
We now hope to cross from Caen to Newhaven middle of next week.
See you all at the various meets later this summer.
Cheers
Ed and Shirley

Arrived home a midday today after a few adventures with snow blizzard conditions and detours on the way up to San Sebastian , somewhat surprised at the number of motorhomes on the move, we stayed on aires and each one filled up very rapidly after 4pm. The ACSI site at Nantes camping is well worth a visit, €16 a night inc lecy and the best amenities block ever !!. A tram ride into town is cheap and well worth a day out
We finished off with a visit to the aire at Honfleur, lovely but freezing so a walk around in the morning and off up to Calais for a tunnel crossing then up to Canterbury aire for the night after a good old fashioned british nosh at the pub. No tapas or Wammy here I am afraid
What a great trip it has been, our first to Beni but I am sure it will not be our last
Thanks to all those we met and had great times with

Glad you're back home safe. Have a wonderful time in Cardiff - fly the flag for us English Ukers xx

Blighty? No chance, still too cold for me ha ha. In Provence at the moment, ferry booked for Sardinia 1st April then onto Sicily from there middle of April. Are you getting out at all?
