My hab step doesn't fully retract. Therefore the alarm goes off. I've strapped it up, which stops the noise. However. wondering if it is a mechanic job or just adjusting something. What I don't want to do is take it in for four hours and get it back unsorted. Or payout for a new unit when it is a simple fix.

I’ve got the Hymer b680, the plank I brought it from was (carpenter?? He,he) I think what he had done was drove off with the step out and the awning out, both bent out of shape. I took the step off, no big deal?. Stripped it into pieces, straightened all the metal pieces, then reassembled it, regressed it, it’s now perfect. The awning was replaced before we brought it, so that part was perfect, good luck with yours 👍😉

Likely something bent - what's access like?
Different vehicle but I have enough clearance to undo the mechanism and detach from step so that step hung loose - but was then obvious that one arm had a rusted connection to another strut. Removed and replaced with good old but and bolt.

The steps come down all the way and they feel sturdy.

Things do feel little lose, I'll see if the tighten
