1980 Opel Eriba

Ok folks. I’m trying to find somewhere (preferably not too far away (Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area)) where I can get a bit of the outer skin of my old Hymer.
Anyone know of anywhere I might get some?

It may be worth you staring a new thread rather than resurrecting an old one .

Still waiting for pics they are helpful and we are noisey we like to see what you've done

Hello Folks.
It’s taken me a long time to get started.
Whilst I was listening to the Glastonbury coverage, and had a few beers, I went and booked tickets and a pitch for Bruno and I at a music festival.
I’ve now got 4 weeks to make him habitable.
And to get the engine to pull its own body weight.
So I’ve started re lining the interior.
I’ve ordered new window seals and a new water heater.
I’ve got the job and fridge cleaned up and working.
Just sorting out the water and waste setups.
And the engine is being converter to electronic ignition and tuned up.
Nothing like setting yourself an impossible challenge when you’ve had a few beers!😆

Crikey, you have given yourself a challenge! Good luck. Sometimes it's good to have a deadline to work to :Eeek:

Your going to a music festival, a work in progress will be fine so long as it is waterpoof windows back in and the engine behaves. Enjoy

Ok Folks.
I’m almost there with Bruno.
Music festival this weekend.
Engine is converted to electronic ignition and fully serviced (I might be able to do more than 45 mph now… maybe 46).
The fridge, hob, shower all work now.
LED headlights and indicators fitted.
Solar and a lifepo4 battery in
And I’ve done a bit of a refurb.
Just a couple of bits to tidy up and then we’re away.
Before and after pictures of the inside.

Now then.
The people that I bought him off say that there isn’t another Hymer 521 Bedford/Opel based motorhome in the UK.
I’m not sure I believe that.
Has anyone seen another one of these anywhere or even know of anyone who has one?
