130 or 150 Bhp

It's a pity that Fiat Chrysler never offered us their standard engine on the US Ducato clone called the Dodge Ram Promaster. (The diesel we get is an option)

For the petrol heads, it's a 3.6l Pentastar V6, 280 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

With a conventional automatic gearbox.

Winnebago and other US converters produce PVCs based on it.
Yes I would certainly be more interested in that ?

Never mind that - think of the lovely smooth and quiet V6 wafting you along at warp speed.

With a big enough LPG tank it would be nice, although my diesel's pretty quiet anyway.. for older vans it would make more sense, I'm not a huge fan of old diesles.

I think there's a big market for Euro vans in the US TBH, I'm always coming across youtube videos about the lastest custom 6m van with americans drooling over the chance of a shower for $90,000+ in such an easy to park small van - yet that's standard in Europe for half the price :)

What sort of MPG do they get?

It`s The USA. "Gas" is (was) a fraction of what we pay for diesel. My Winnebago, (6.4 V10) got more miles per pound than the diesel 2.3 Fiat. MPG (US gallons) was 8.2 average over nearly 20.000miles

The Winnebago Via 25Q, would be my choice though. Sadly they did not sell in the US insufficient numbers and have been de listed. But the 2017 pdf brochure is here: - .

Okay Colyboy are you any closer to making your mind up after all these good people have shared their thoughts?
Personally our new motorhome has the Fiat 150 as opposed to the 130 In previous vans. But it has only done 800 miles so I'm not making a judgement yet, however the signs are good.

Watch this bit:

Off topic but.......... they say that talking on a hands free mobile phone whilst driving is dangerous!

I have often wondered how these 'to camera' pieces while driving are not subject to prosecutions for due care and attention.

Don't worry, the government is in the process of banning everything in the name of health and safety, it's just their way of showing how much they love us.

Ignore the wars in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya etc., the crusade for conflict in Russia and Iran and our friendly liberals flooding us with friendly young african men who just want to spend time with our daughters.

All I can say, especially when bowling along the M4 at 2AM in the morning is "Think of the Children!". Now I have to get back to my hydrogenated fat spread on my wholemeal Roundup-ready! bread (laced with Monsanto's finest) and a nice Cola with the government approved amount of Aspartame, sugar and benzioc acid to set me up for the day :D
