£283 oil change?

The first service is due at 2 years so at 18 months you are not that far off.
So maybe hold off for a few months and get a full service, although there will be several thousand more miles by then. Maybe somewhere other than Vospers as well.

My Fiat 2.3 is being done tomorrow at a local reputable garage chain. Oil change with Kennol 5W30 C2 oil, filter, seal, 50 point visual check plus all the usual top-ups €112.80 VAT Incl. so say £96. This oil is well known over here.
Purge and replace brake fluid plus fit new Bosch pads on the front. €98.90 VAT Incl. so say £84.
Check tracking geometry plus tyres for wear and damage. €19.90 VAT Incl. so say £16.90.
And this is in France!

I could be in Cardiff at about the 2 year point. Can anyone recommend the Fiat Professional dealer there? or anywhere else for that matter?

I go to the dealers/reputable garage 1 because i want to. 2 because i can.

However, i do do a little bit of dirty under the bonnet work on Bertie.
If you have the knowledge then probably worth checking what the dealers have done. They seem to have given up giving a $h1t when vehicles became dull blobs from the 90's onwards and now just see servicing as a necessary cash cow evil

This is Vospers, Fiat Professional main dealer in Plymouth.
Vehicle is still in warranty, so reluctant to go outside Fiat approved network.
First service is still far off, but advice is to have an oil change & new filter as vehicle now about 18 months old and less than 10k miles.
Options?
Vospers have the monopoly on every brand in your neck of woods and charge accordingly.

Local Renault dealer charges over £140 per hour, so £200 p/h doesn't surprise me.
Cheers, Dave
