Been away really the first time off hook up, and the only thing we missed was the use of the toaster.
Anyone have experience of the "on the hob" toaster racks:
This like these?

Cheers.

Parents had one when I was a kid, the "toast" it produced has never tempted me to buy one in adulthood.

To be honest surprised no-one has mentioned the Ridge monkey at this point. Makes great toasted sandwiches from "untoasted bread" ...

Can confirm the Delta2 inverter/battery we have can run a normal toaster off grid just fine though... this is something we do use as we do enjoy Toast in mornings. It's a bit expensive to just have for Toast though....

Ours is a great bit of kit, best accessory weā€™ve ever bought, it toasts so evenly and uniformly over the whole slice.

looks effective, not seen that before.
It is, but warning, it goes from toasted to burnt in sub 20 seconds, so it's a bit of an art to get perfect toasties out of them, but it honestly produces better toasted sandwiches than our proper toastie maker at home.

These are designed to be used with the single burner portable camping stoves you get. I have one and it works quite well on that but us almost useless on the hob in the van as the burner is a lot smaller

Paul, tell me whatā€™s even about them, ones just half done and the other has the centre done and both are burnt, and it looks like brown bread, toast was invented for white bread when it accidentally set on fire.

Had one once..it was great at making dried bread with burnt bits, I used to set it off and go on my 40 minute morning ride and get back to something resembling plaster of Paris squares that no amount of butter would soften.

If on an aire. Just lean out the window and pass to the German van that parked within 12 inches of you while.you slept and aks them to toast your bread.
