I’ve got a small camper and usually only go away for a few days it’s got a small solar panel possibly 80or 100 watts and 2x105 amp lithium batteries and suffices.I’d like to go on a temporary holiday site and possibly be off hookup for a couple of weeks can I use an old 100 amp fold up solar panel with a Landstar pwm controller that I only ever used on lead acid.I believe it has 3 settings lead acid gel and agm.my camper has a compressor fridge and I charge a power chair. Thanks in anticipation.

From what I've learnt on this site the Gel setting would be the best of the settings.Whilst not perfect as it won't fully charge the batteries, it won't do any harm either. Do you have any form of B2B? That would top up the Lithium more favourably.
Others can explain more fully.
Mike.

Yes it’s got a small battery to battery that came with the van but it’s a bit long winded at charging up the batteries, I hope to be static for the time I’m there

O.K.GEL it is then. Does the fitted solar panel have a lithium option?

The fold up panel with the controller on gel will be ok . You will need to keep.it aligned with the sun to get the max out of it though and angled . Your 200ah lithium should keep you in power for your 2 week stay assuming you get some sunshine most days.
Not sure what your chair will take but you should be able to charge that up from the 2 lithium and get back the balance from your solar. Worst casescenario is you charge up your chair off hookup.

Thanks I’ve charged the chair up before when away for a few days I have a 500 amp inverter.I’l try and find the gel setting I did’nt want to wreck the lithium batteries and I must get bigger solar panels on the roof and a bigger b to b

Have you got any spec on the controller for the folding panel?
Gel will probably be the best option but sometimes LA is but never use AGM.

I think it’s set to LA which is number 1 on the controller I believe 2 is gel and 3 AGM

The b 2 be is only useful if your moving around a lot it's not much use on a 2 week stay unless you want to upset your neighbours by running the engine.
You won't wreck the lithium batteries but they may not charge up to 100% but that no big issue as you can use them down to very low currents.. But if your lucky and you have some sunny days the solar will soon replenish your batteries to reasonable levels.
You won't find out untill you try it and the experience will point you in the right directions for what you may need in the future.
