It's just overcast here. Some drizzle earlier but threatening more rain later.

Yep, got the tour on German Eurosport my German is getting better listening to the commentary. Looks warm but not sunny in France.

We were looking forward to the weather improving once we’d left Iceland but the only thing that’s improved since entering Germany is the cake! We nearly drowned in Flensburg, Hamburg is very wet indeed. Cologne isn’t sunny but it’s less wet,

It's been the worst we've experienced this past week here in Berlin, fortunately the kids haven't broken up for holidays yet. We did have a decent weekend and we're able to checkout a couple of Biergarten with essential Spielplatz for the kids.
How was Iceland and did you stop off in the Faroes?

Iceland was an amazing experience. We were really lucky with the weather. Cold obviously but hardly any rain. We stopped for 3 days in the Faroe isles on the way back so obviously thought of you. One day was lovely and sunny so we could see some of the beauty of the place but the othe 2 days were more typical with thick mist/fog.

I hope you get some decent weather with the boys before your return.

We moved west back west into France after looking at the forecast.
With hindsight we should have stayed in the south of France for longer as the last couple of weeks have been rather mixed.
We took the Black Forest High Road as it is reputedly extremely scenic . The rain was biblical.

We will look forward to seeing you both but sorry the weather didn’t improve for you in Germany. We came back from France Sunday instead of Monday as Honfleur turned chilly and wet. The beauty of those flexi tickets!
