A Brand New PVC with a True Automatic Gearbox for under £49,000.00?

The market in Germany is pivoting towards vans it seems, my local Carado/Hymer dealer in Rosenheim is wall to wall vans and not MHs these days, and sensible pricing too.
Size for ease of parking and under 3500kg may be a factor and most I see are with couples, and at €20,000 less than a vw cali, and with a proper (ish)bathroom, you can see the appeal.

Rosenheim, we passed there a couple of times in March. Would of liked a nosey around that dealership

The price is 57,990 Euros including German VAT. So it will be close to £60k in the UK.

Still a good price

Its nothing special, maybe 30 or so vans, I use it for the Berger camping shop next to it, they have a busy rental business which we used in the past.

Got pulled on the A8 at Rosenheim, was a massive campaign with at least a dozen BMW Polizei doing a pull leaving you with the cops in the Rastplatz then off down a lane to rejoin the A8 further down to pull more bikes (it was like a merry go round)
Apparantly it was to see if you had nicked a Harley from bike week, so the clowns were pulling riders on bikes and ignoring all the vans, and pick ups with trailers loaded with bikes🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I reckon you could import that particular one, all fees and Vat paid for £50k -

You’d reclaim the German vat at 19%, pay the UK vat at 20% and allow £1k for registration paperwork and travel expenses.

Looks a good van for the money.

Thats the 1st van I have heard of with the new Fiat 8 speed gearbox, lets hope they have made it more rugged than the 9 speed box, especially for the heavier vans arround 4000Kgs and above.
I think there are many couples that will downsize to PVC's in the future, as each year it becomes more difficult to park in town car parks and alike here in The UK especially. Plus the ability to drive on a normal car licence and not a C1 at 70.

I forgot they had dropped the 9 to 8

Is it ZF still ?

No. The 8 speed is an Aisin gearbox.
Should be better than the ZF then !

My car has a ZF 8HP box which is good. My daily van has a Mercedes 7G-Tronic which is excellent.

Just checked and Mrs’s ET’s Toyota has a

Aisin U660E/F automatic transmission
