Alde Control Panel turning itself off. I accidentally hit the on/off button on the panel this morning so it turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, the screen came on then it immediately turned itself off. Had several repeat attempts but with same results. The panel is the one that's about 3" square. I'd send a photo but on very poor wifi here and mobile signal non existent. Any ideas?

Is your alde also linked to the swift command panel?
No experience with them but just a thought.
Other than forcing a reboot by pulling the fuse from alde if not linked to command panel

Maybe your "standby brightness" has somehow turned itself off. On ours if the brightness is off the panel goes dark immediately after switching the panel on. We use the facility at night to save having a glowing light when we are wanting to sleep. You can turn the brightness on and off by tapping the "spanner" symbol then scrolling through to find the symbol that looks a bit like a sun. Tap that and then you can switch the back light on and off.

No its not. It actually comes up saying 'off' when it turns itself off. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've now managed to get it to come back on by fiddling with the heating controls on the Swift control panel. Don't want to mess with it any further as it's now on and working and we're not due back home for a while yet. But will investigate further when home.

How do you get the panel off? I've tried sliding my finger nails round the facia edge but doesn't seem to want to budge.

You need to prize the bottom edge out (try the blade of a knife behind the cover) and it will swing out from the top edge.
