Rally Woodside Field Anniversary Rally

If you are signed up to this rally please try and arrive before 8PM, we have some local road closures nearby which could result in a diversion. Please contact Clivefog if you are likely to be late as we might have to move the cones so you can get in.

If you have not visited the site on a previous occasion please look at directions on our website www.woodsidefield.co.uk

A few places available - come and join the fun!

Are these road closures just overnight or will we have to make diversions if we want to go shopping etc? 🤔

Are they cutting down trees again 🤔

Not cutting the trees this year but resurfacing the stretch by the Dog Inn back towards Chippping Sodbury. Looks like we will have single lane traffic during the day and road closures 8pm - 6am. Currently cones and signs everywhere. Only received a letter this weekend, apparently the work has been brought forward, hence the short notice.

Thanks for that Brian, does it still leave the road junction where you could do a U turn?

I expect that will be coned off at 8pm, so anybody arriving late will need help to get in, please keep Clive informed if you get delayed.
Should know more later when the roadwork's begin.

Just a thought as we have a few days before the rally to think about it?

What about if we have a Cooking competition combined with the Jacobs Table?

£2 from all competitors to enter, half going to the Air Ambulance the rest to the winner(s) Sign up the day before.

A reasonable meal for 2-3,
£10 MAX (keep receipts) for ALL ingredients except 3 condiments

It can be included with the Jacobs Table, each with a number on the dish?

Might be Fun if we have the Men's dishes against the Ladies? 😄

All this with Clivefog approval of course?

I can cremate most things. Somehow I doubt I'd be a popular contestant.

I'll be chief tester. Can't cook, even lock down could not cure this, so won't cook.

There is no Chief taster, everyone has a chance to taste and vote.
(Just make sure the Lady Funsters don't out number the men at the Rally just incase it becomes a Gents v Ladies competition! ) 🤣

Quackers has manicured his lawn and pitches now marked out with quite generous spacings all ready for your delectation on Thursday week.

Clive even has a few spaces to spare for any last minute ralliers.

Mind you if L' Hobo is using an open barbecue for his trout I might ask to do mine too. I can cook potatos 🤣

Now don't start going polite on us Lois, we love you as you are.😄

In any case, the idea had already been dismissed about 4hrs before your post but it would be interesting to hear your alternative idea how to earn a few quid for the Air Ambulance? 🤔

I'm wonder what sort of things to offer for the auction. Anyone like to suggest what's hoped for? I can't find my tiara so can't offer that!

Go for the rolex then

Something around £5-10, new or used will be fine. I've got a few camping bits that I've carried but never used going in and some "prizes" from from past raffles

I'd forgotten about past prizes, I must have some somewhere? 😄

No, thinking about it, it's probably not a good idea.
Just put it down to the musings of an old man on a damp day? 😄
Or an old man looking to be fed 😂
