Charged for Testing Starlink: Is this Normal? Help
Ok. So I've received the new refurbished Starlink last week. Thought I'd best check today that it's ok and working. Well that was a mistake. Just received a notification from bank that £85 has been taken. As it was only to check it works it seems a bit harsh that you get charged. Or am I...www.motorhomefun.co.uk
No our old van we a 85 cm maxview dish with icecrypt box and we got uk tv all over Europe. You will be geographically limited with satellite reception in Europe depending on the size of dish you use, worth investigating / researching further before you buy.
I’m going to forget starlink internet and just get a satellite dish
I can’t canoe and imho but I can’t put it all together so explain in my thicky language satellite or dataWe all take our own path and paddle our own canoe down our own river in life, but IMHO, with the world moving as it is, investing in legacy technology (Sky will be streaming only in the near future) and buying satellite is almost the same as getting a CD player, when all the music in the world is available to stream.
As I said before a 85cm dish with an icecrypt box will do the trick 1800 quid I know it will work but data I’ve tried not that good. Our Dutch friends who live in France but are here in Cartagena are using a satellite dish but they say you need a 1.2m dish to get anything decent down here. I have no idea as I don't use a satellite system just passing on what they told me.
If it works for you then it's going to be a lot cheaper in the long run than a starlink system. Although I don't actually know what a max view system costs.
