Anyone out today making the most of our freedom?

Well it’s all flat here so no mountain walks, haha. Some do the coastal walk and use the coast hopper bus to return back

Coastal sounds nice. After a day doing hills fat sounds rather nice. 😂

We're waiting a week, then off to the Norfolk Broads for a few days at a C&CC THS, then across to Cambridgeshire for another at March.
I visited the Norfolk Broads once and was bitterly disappointed. All the women had gone and there was just lots of marshy bits and rivers ... ;)

Last visit in 1986 and visited Hoveton St John, Potter Heigham and camped at Ludham Bridge. Back in the daysbefore the head became a solar panel ... 😂

Plenty of folk are - just done a short run along bits of the M3 /M27, lots of caravans and motorhomes heading West.

Reminds me of when I was the village Plod at Cadnam, J1 M27. Not uncommon for caravans to break down because the queue for Malwood Hill used to catch them out, and the hard braking caused the brake activation piston to seize up. Ended up keeping a grease gun in the pannier of the 'bike so I could release them and the ensuing congestion.
Sue used to live in Cadnam

A cheeky night for me watching Netflix with my feet up. It's the best I can do whilst 'staying local'.

Hope you enjoyed your local overnight away from home. (y) For me theres something magical drifting off and waking up to the sound of the waves, even better when its not windy.

5 funster vans at Lyndon Top, weather beautiful during the day but cold at night.
The price seems to have gone up since we last visited. £15 per night now

I wonder if its the cold or the price thats keeping folk away. VERY quiet .

West Runton, between Sheringham and Cromer is a good area. Coastal Walks either way from there. North Norfolk Railway from Sheringham, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park just inland. And the Coast around there isn't flat! Or longer walks to Cley, Blakeney and beyond, with the option to walk back or catch the Coasthopper bus.

In my former life, we took our AJC Trailer Tent to West Runton in 1983, a few weeks after moving from the West Midlands to just outside Peterborough. Hadn't made 'proper friends' at that time who could act as Petsitters, so we took the budgie with us as well ... (y)

The coast hopper is very good, the only problem for the operator is it doesn’t take any money, it’s mostly old people with bus passes who use it. When the last operator gave up it said it wasn’t paying for them to run it. Even the new ones looked at cutting it. It’s great though for traveling back along the coast.

My last post was meant to have these attached. Derwentwater always looks lovely but it's better when it's not raining. Been up Borrowdale today, considering its the wettest place in England it's very dry.

Now firmly entrenched on (closed) pub CL in Suffolk in the middle of nowhere for 7 nights Wonderful... peace and quiet. Stocked up on wine and beer and lpg at Morrisons in Ipswich on way. Walking to the nearish local butcher tomorrow then gonna bbq his entire stock and get slightly squiffy in the sunshine ..... that'll do....

I had a close encounter with a low Welsh stone wall on the way here

I got all the bits so hopefully its repairable
That's a bugger, chuck the bits in a draw and worry about it when you get home.

Me and Mrs Emmit caught the bus today from Newquay to Padstein.
I have to say that admiration of the driver of the double decker we were in grew with every passing mile.
Had it been me having to negotiate the narrow lanes with Hoorays' hurtling in the opposite direction with not a thought as to what was around the next blind bend, ie us, I would have buried more than one SUV right through the nearest Cornish hedge. ie a granite dry stone wall made to look pretty with greenery.

As it is, the young man kept his cool and we survived the walk amongst the Tarquins and Jemima's before catching the bus back.
Mrs Emmit remarked that the place (Padstow) has been quieter on a Sunday in June.

Been at seacroft cmc Cromer site since yesterday , it's been very sunny but a biting cold wind yesterday, today its just a biting cold breeze. Came back from a walk today and then sat outside drinking cava, until about 1830 when it got to cold.
Very cold nights, had the heating on full, I don't think this van would do for a winter in the alps.

Nice photos but can I suggest you insert them full sized? The new forum software is confusing in this specific instance and is still catching a lot of people put. The giveaway is the image thumbnail looks fuzzy. If shouldn't be like that.
