Just headed West from a great stopver at the Camperstop in Cabo De Gato and now we find ourselves in Torre Del Mar.

We were going to stay at El Rincon but they emailed to say they were currently closed for mods.

First impressions of Playa Luna camping are a bit 'Meh'. I'm missing the space that the last camperstop had (it was never more than 25% full) and sitting here in the dirty gravel pitch at Torre is a bit of a come down. (and its blowing a gale).

Thoughts for the 2 and a bit weeks left of our trip are as in the title header.
I should also state, that we will probably take in Merida and Carceras on the way back North.

Any suggestions for sites / camperstops

Gibraltar - Alcaidesa Marina

What about sites / stops between Gib and Cadiz

Cadiz - Playa Las Dunas looks nice (catch the ferry to Cadiz)

El Rocio - where would you recommend?

Seville - same here.

The M/home has all we need so a legal, safe place to park with water and dump would be fine (ie camperstops.

I'm using search for sites and dont see that many aire type places.

Thanks in advance from sunny and windy Spain!

Much of your plans are as part of my itinerary last month.

Gibraltar - spent a couple of nights on the marina aire (water and dump available) but almost blown off the second night so moved to Camping Sureuropa at northern end of La Linea beach, nice quiet site, full facs, only a couple of Euros a night more than the aire. Taxi c. €7 to Gib border arranged by campsite was very convenient.

Cadiz - there is an aire on the seafront at the southern end of the town, by the seafront road. Damaged my water tank on the high kerb there so moved across to Las Dunas to fix it. Las Dunas is a nice site, flat, good facs, 20 min walk to the catamaran ferry to Cadiz - very convenient.

Seville - stayed at the Puerto Gelves aire on the marina. Nice aire, with water, dump and EHU. Bus stop o/s to Seville every 20/30 mins during day.

Merida - town centre aire by the bus station. Arrived Good Friday and was very busy over Easter weekend - probably much easier during the week. Easy walk to many of the Roman sites in the town.

If you want more precise details, grid ref etc let me know.

Sevilla - just stay right in the city at the secure, fenced, barrier controlled carpark on the riverside that specifically takes Motorhomes. It's the one we use whenever there.
You're only 15 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by bicycle from the very heart of the city.
No dump/fill services, but quiet, and a great stopover location right in the city for a few days. From memory it's 12 euros for 24 hours.

There is free aire at La Cala de Mijas . Huge rough car park with an areA blocked off for Motorhomes, waste dump and water but nothing else. Handy for buses too. Lots of shops cafes and a Wednesday market

El Rocio there is La Aldea an ACSI site very close to village, there is a place to park near the information center but don’t know if you can overnight there.
Well worth a visit.

Another vote for Puerto Gelves for Seville. Easy bus ride in and out.

Also like La Cala de Mijas. Do you still have to check in at the police station?

We are at el puerto de santa maria at the moment on the campsite. Space at the moment, but they are starting to block off reserved pitches in readiness for the motogp next weekend. There is a free parking area just up the road near the beach too. We have been told it will be manic all around this area , so unless you are really into your bikes , you will need to bear it in mind.

Lovely place we were there last year good for birding if you have transport.

Can recommend this aire in Seville - we were there over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. ( N37°21'40.1'' W005°59'40.4'' ) It's a paid aire, €12 on tarmac for 30+ vans. There's a service point, showers, toilets and washing machines and dryers. Electric is €3 per day. It's very secure, and is a short walk or cycle from the Plaza España.
Hope you have a good trip.

Rose and Peter - thanks for your advice. After a great stop at the Marina at Gibraltar we have made it to Puerta de Santa Maria.

Looks like we've caught you up after Mojacar and Sierra Espuna!

Will be staying to Friday and then moving off to El Rocio or therabouts.

Liking the site so far, much better than Torre del Mar. The friendly receptionist did say it was going to get lively after Thursday.

Just double check when the rate goes up, it about doubles when the MotoGP is on, no acsi rates.
Currently wilding at the end of the beach, say hola if passing :-)

We always stay there waiting for the ferry back home. And we always get the same spot. There's a little circle by the shower block furthest from the beach. Nobody else ever parks there :)

Hello deanobeano. We were in Cadiz yesterday and my battery went flat so just picked up that you are on site. We are against the yellow wall , near the big red german rolling hotel. A hymer with. a red scooter. Say hello if youre passing. Ps Cadiz is lovely. Used the little ferry.
