Calais Blockade

Plus ça change... as we say in Britain :-)

Last time they did that we were in France. Round about 9pm in the evening the fishermen all returned to shore for some home comforts then resumed their blockade at 7am the following morning. Overnight there were numerous ferries doing handbrake turns in the port followed by Scooby Doo exits towards Dover.

One of those times when you're grateful it's only two of you in a MH and not you plus sulky teenage kids with failing phone batteries crammed into a family car.

I like the ferry,,, it’s all a part of my holidays,,,
Nice fry up, plenty of tea, nice walk round!

Yep, ferry every time for me!!

One day that tunnel is gonna flood,, and I won’t be in it!!!! Lol

How have you got a free crossing this year (you lucky bu**ers!)?

Denise
We got stuck on a ferry for 4.5 hours in Calais Port when the Pride of Canterbury ran aground in December and they offered us a free crossing as an apology

Pity the bl**dy French couldn't block everything when the Germans invaded in 1940.

To be fair they tried, but Monsieur Maginot didn't prioritise the Belgian border did he? :)

They were out fishing that day
More likely either throwing their rifles and uniforms into the English Channel, or shoving themselves onto ships bound for Dover. Bugger France, let the English Army sacrifice themselves saving that.
