In my autotrail 2013 there is a Sargent 500 fitted, on the digital read out above the door the numbers just scrolling when charge going to the batteries.
not all the time but more in the afternoon, does this mean the batteries are full from the sola panel?
I have a 100w panel with one 110 Banner battery. But normal readout is 4.8

the amount taken from the solar panel will reduce to a maintenance charge when the batteries are full

Ours does the same and we have had it changed under warranty twice, for what ever reason the readings just go haywire, we have had a reading of 10amps discharge when nothing is being used, the freshwater showing 100% when it is bone dry empty and a solar power to batteries at 7.5 amps (we wish).
Good luck with it, another fine selection of parts selected, fitted and tried out on the Guinea Pig customers.

Yes mine says full waste water when empty. I
Just ignore that.

Is it worth getting it changed if it's still the same?

Is this on just when the solar input is selected ??
Mine flashes from a current to 0 and this usually indicates a full charge at the battery, the solar panel will still produce power but it's going nowhere. I have never seen anything I would describe as "scrolling"..

If it`s a warranty job then definitely, If not then you could try phoning Sargent, lots on here say they are very helpful.

It goes from 0 to4.8 and back again over and over again in seconds

Yes when selected

Sounds the same as mine... Had no issues and I have always put it down as being "normal" .... The battery is fully charged, once it depletes then a steady reading will return..
