VLC player (1 Viewer)

I've got some files that a friend gave me from a tv series and it's looking for VLC player. Where do I find this for pc thats safe?

I use this . to put dvds on memory stick also for viewing files from car camera.

VLC is a very clever media player but when you install it like all these things it will want to play all your videos but you can unchecked a box during installation to prevent this if you want, which I would recommend until you know you want to keep and use it.

It is clever because it will also record video, not just play it, for example it will record your desktop for those "How to". YouTube videos.
