Yes, I agree with you. Best places to goWe did it in September last year. We use campsites but saw plenty of aireās around. We started off at Honfleur then crossed the Pegasus Bridge and there is an Aire close to the bridge on the beachfront.
We drove the beaches to Arromanches then came inland to camp in Bayeux. From here we drove out up to the American cemetery and drove south along the beaches again to Arromanches. A full day seeing the history in Bayeux was great too.
We tried but failed to get parked at Arromanches but had no problems anywhere else in a 6.4m pvc
From there we went to camp at Falsise (gap) before heading off towards Mont St Michelle
