I won this yesterday on EBay a 1975 Triumph Bonneville T140 750cc, I packed biking in 10 years ago and thought that was it but I got the feeling for a classic bike and this is what I bought.

Well, at least you didn't buy a Harley Davidson😂.
Enjoy the bike and ensure you wear some good boots in case it kicks back on you when starting it.

Very nice - something to tinker with and more importantly RIDE - I hope it gives you years & years of pleasure

Welcome back to the world (& brotherhood) of biking

Ignore any negative comments - it's either envy, lockdown depression or both 🙂

The bike looks lovely hope you enjoy it. I sold my 1969 T120 couple of years ago because my leg doesnt like kick start levers. Having said I still have a BSA Gold Star which I carnt start either
Freddiekins

You can get an electric start conversion done - I've seen many riders have it done over the years on Goldies

It may not be an 'original' that way, but who cares - get out there & ride it

I’ve been watching Sons of anarchy, plenty of HDs on that show.
My mates got a 65 shovelhead, wins all the local prizes. Goes well in a straight line.
Phil
Goes well in a straight line, compared to what?
My old Blackbird a measly 1100 cc would beat any Harley in a straight line. Standing or rolling start.

Looks very nice John you’ll be buying a Motorhome next 👍
Don’t think so Steve loving our static to much and the comfort of en-suite bedroom and loads of space, when we’re allowed to use it.

That’s lovely Neckender. You never truly get it out of your system once you’ve had a bike.
I’ve been riding for over 40 years now and enjoy it as much today as when I was a nipper with my first bike.
I gave up riding motorcycles after seeing one of my riding buddies fly over the top of a Nissan Micra who’s driver ( a little old lady) pulled out of a side street looking the wrong way. He was lucky just a broken collar bone, but it brought home to me that We can be the best rider in the world but it’s the other idiots on the road that could kill you.
I learned to fly instead, not as many idiots up there at 3000ft 😉

That’s what happened to me in 1967 and I broke my left femur on traction for 3 months.

I think that's a worry for many - you have to ride defensively - it's no good getting to them Pearly gates & telling St Peter 'it wasn't my fault'

That said, I've been riding motorbikes for over 50 years and flying since '79 🙂
