Taking Alsace wine route on our way to Italy. Head to French riviera or cut through the Alps to Italy - any suggestions? (1 Viewer)

We are heading to France and Italy in May for around 6-7 weeks. Entering France via the tunnel and want to experience the Alsace wine route but we are unsure whether to continue on down to the French coast and then cut across to Italy or perhaps go through the Alps into Italy. Hoping to tour some of Tuscany then up to visit Venice, Verona and stay in the Italian Lakes for a week. Perhaps head to the Dolomites before heading back to the UK.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the route from France into Italy and must-see places to visit on the way?

Sound all great , but never done those routes so can’t suggest, as only year motorhoming for us .
Which ever I’m sure it will great scenery.
