Solar display unit (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have fitted my 200 watt solar panels, mppt and dongle.
The problem I have is that the app doesn’t seem to connect to the dongle, it did for several weeks( usually after deleting the app or resetting the dongle) I have been in touch with the seller who has offered to send a new dongle
My question is: are the dongles and display units interchangeable, as in, I have a Spark system, can I fit a display unit from another manufacturer or a different dongle, thereby giving me access to an app that actually works?

I have the same unit.With ours I found the connection could be erratic, sometimes not connecting for days, even if stood right next to the dongle. Other times it will easily connect whilst sitting indoors in an armchair 8mt away I've not found it a problem as the same info is also sent from out Victron B2B, or worse case I have to push the Truma button above the hab door.
The actual spark unit has performed excellently, and kept all the batteries topped up so far for a couple of years using a 220w panel.
In respect of your second question, sorry no idea. Have you tried the little reset on the dongle ?

Just noted,you're in a T35 so possibly the extra metal is an issue compared to a coach built

Thanks Mike, yes I’ve tried the reset, soooo many times, it worked for weeks but then didn’t, the reviews for the app aren’t encouraging

When I try to connect the dongle to the app the blue light stays on, which means it’s connected but the app just spins

I'll assume you've tried turning the phone off, and back on ?

You can get a wired display screen compatible with that same regulator, not exactly what you were looking for but

Hi Mike, yes I’ve tried turning phone off but it makes no difference. Don’t k now if it’s been logging data as I’ve not been able to access it for a few weeks, I was hoping not to have to shell out for a display unit because the app should work

EBay I go, by the looks of it.
Are the monitor/screens compatible with any size mppt?
As in: if I buy tha Spark screen, do I need to know what size mppt

Fire off a message to Ebay with your issues and model number asking for their advise. Is it out of date for a return?

The problem is, the dongle wasn’t included, I asked how much it would and he said he would put it in foc so I can’t really complain about so that was free

Just ask about a compatible screen then. I would wonder if the " freebie" was a faulty return from another customer??

Hmm that’s a possibility, I asked the seller about a screen and theirs are £35, &30 everywhere else
