However, it's important to remember that if you spend more time abroad than you do in the UK over a 4-month period, we might think you're permanently roaming.
So, that's fair do's, as we are in the 90 day period now, ie, long enough for many.......but not for all obviously. ;)

This means only two months free roaming
No, 90 x days which is 3 x months roaming, ie, as per their statement of not more than 4 x months in the UK. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

That is very expensive, Have you used that in Europe for 90 Days? I pay £12 a month iD contract, was not charged any extra for the 90 days, got back on the 1st July, although I now have a text from them stating free roaming only for 60 days
I don't think it's expensive. 2 phones and a 4g router. 3 sims not 1. I haven't used it in europe yet but will do very soon.

Second time abroad since ,getting moved from Virgin onto O2. They up my allowance up to 50gb but with limit of 25gb abroad ,which is plenty for us ,as we download lots before we leave. But the best bit is that for second time running ,we have no data taken from our allowance at all!! We have the same when we return as when we left. Then at end of month renews back to 50gb 👍No extra .charges

I've just took out the RWG for a month as only away 3 week's this time, went for the global multiple network 200gb deal as spending some time in Switzerland. Although the global has gone up £7 I still think it's worth not having to worry about additional cost's. £35 all Inclusive will do the 2 of us, no kid's !

Currently in France with EE on their £15/month phone roaming tariff (was£10 last year). Just been advised by them by text that as of this October this is going up to £25 / month! How is this justifiable?

Sadly they don’t have to justify it ! Their game, their ball. In a similar issue,
About 3 years ago the insurers put our business ipremiums up from around £1200 pa to roughly £5000 . I asked them to explain and justify the increase and they said they didn’t have to justify it and wouldn’t discuss it . Take it or leave it . 😡

Similar story. Mine went up from £548 pm to £848 pm. No reason!

Change your supplier to LABARA no restriction on data roaming using vodafone network.

100% agree. I use a MiFi on a different ISP to my phone (O2) in order to have more choice locally (eg in France). I have kicked the EE SIM into touch since they started charging roaming without advising in advance. The MiFi is now on a Lebara SIM and - while it may not be the world's cheapest option - for the amount of data we use, maybe 5GB a month (a fiver or less) it's good, and for the last 3 weeks in Normandy near faultless reception.
