And then we crossed the water P&O "sorry" but it was booked and paid for two years ago.

Our first stop was at Thieu in Belgium and the local river rescue kindly entertained us with a practice river rescue,

View attachment 620086

A short cycle ride around the old and new canal system with 4 off counter balance hydraulic boat lifts on the original canal,

View attachment 620090View attachment 620090

And finishing at the new Mega sized lift with concrete counter balance and steel winding cables.

We then moved on to Zell on the Mosel, actually we stopped off at the N+B factory stellplatz in Polch but no photos, well they didn't really have many vans around even in the showroom and the ones that they did have were missing parts, likewise over the road at the Concorde dealer they had very few vans in stock either new or used.

View attachment 620103

Well it just had to be done;) yes just the two of us for a few days before we meet up again to go to the factory together.

View attachment 620104

It's been about 30 degrees and very sticky but has just gone dark and rained so hopefully it's going to be a bit fresher now as I need to go outside and cook (y)
Beats the "Anderton Boat" then...😉

Anyway enough of this frivolity, Lenny HB want's the technical lowdown on our visit to Meier chassis prep, oops sorry not photo's but it was very interesting;)

But I did see these Buttner solar panels with a diode on every cell so shading can never take out more than the number of cells that are shaded.

View attachment 622975
Can’t see the panels lasting too long now Dometic have got their hands on them 😂😂

Not us but I would think they will do OK out of it although Düsseldorf show will be a bigger selling event, this is more social and being middle of the year not much new to see.

Note in pic 1 the chairs are proper Deck Chairs(as per cruise decks) or 'Directors Chairs' as the Americans prefer to call them.
Mine were those of choice before the MH,

What we prefer rather than those aluminium and plastic jobs.

That looks rather pleasant, I am a foodie and like to cook, I can easily spend a whole day in the kitchen but I like workspace, which is always lacking in a MH, the above is a good start 😇, however if I win the euro millions then I will utilise my class 1 licence and have something proper big based on a nice Volvo FH 750 with Volvo ‘s i-shift.😇😆🤷🏻‍♂️

I have to say…………they are catching up…………………with Morelo.
Having had three Concordes l have to say that Morelo have seen massive improvements in both interior and exterior design and that Concorde were looking a bit stale, perhaps they have finally woken up. All we need is a decent dealer in the U.K.

Well good luck with the last bit as the current one seems to have lost interest, as for design yes MORELO are certainly more modern and they are really pushing the expansion to try to keep up with demand but saying that Concorde are also expanding and PhoeniX have also in the last few years so the luxury motorhome market is alive and kicking in Ashbach/Schlusselfeld. Concorde certainly do the big vans well and a lot would say that they beat MORELO but it really comes down to personal preference for a particular style layout and aesthetics.

I still can't understand why I could spend all that money, have all that, space but no oven. Surely if it's a home from home you'd want to be able to cook properly.

I have always thought Concorde have the best interior styling and Morelo the exterior but Concorde are looking good now on the exterior.
If they make a Charisma with a separate WC like they use to that would be ideal for us.

Agreed about the dealer, I’m only 10 minutes from Portsmouth but the sales team were useless when I enquired hence we went elsewhere.
I think the service side are supposed to be very good though.

Volvo based MH are rare, 1230 Atego seems to be the platform of choice, have to go for STX or Volkner for a Volvo, although a 16 litre 750 might be a littebit overkill

Im hoping a Carthago C-line size Morelo🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think they must be looking at this N+B have the new iSmove and they cannot make enough a two year waiting list, more expensive than the Carthago but it shows the market for high price smaller MH’s

I suppose all the time they can sell as many large vans it’s not worth them getting into smaller ones what with design and set up cost.

Maybe when there expansion has been completed they may have more capacity or if a recession comes they might sell small lower cost vans.

A Prosecco carriage ride “in the rain” just book a time slot and they included 6 bottles between 8 or 10.

Tonight we have duo doing German songs mostly, but we did have the local acrobatic dance troupe entertain us.

Then fireworks at 10:30.

I’m with you on the superior Concorde internal styling Mark. What put me off the Charisma at the time we were looking, was the side mounted awning. They were slow out of the blocks with that one, not even sure if they are flush mounted or integrated now even ? Not looked for ages.

Our personal choice is for open plan bathroom and what we have. We have nothing to hide. 😬😆😆

I think the awning is same as Morelo now Steve, I like my separate WC a place to reflect at the start of the day 😂😂
