However you go about it... you have to be top dog, leader of the pack.
Perhaps it's a fine line between being respected & being feared.

But if you worry about tough love - think on this.
Your hound will actually be a lot less stressed if they know that they don't have to take on the leadership of the pack.
A couple of shock & awe responses to inappropriate biting incidents will in the long run will be beneficial to all concerned.


In the video, mum is clearly the boss of the pups, demanding obedience... about around 25secs, she has a brief glance at the human to make sure she's not overstepping her place in the hierarchy.
