Can anyone tell me how to group drawings in one single PDF?

I've detailed a 3D model for a steel workshop in Shetland but when I try to export the various fabrication drawings, plate drawings etc I can only seem to export them singly. For example, if I want to print them all I will need to open them individually and print them rather than opening one PDF.

Hope this makes sense, probably not

Thanks in advance.

what programe are you using to export the pdf.
If it is split over a number of pages, then selecting all pages on the export options/settings should do you in most programmes

I'm using the Tekla software for the detailing and they provide the option to export.

I've been hitting the button on the bottom left corner (print) as that then gives you the option to send it as a PDF. Maybe I should be using the next button in and export them as DWG files. Would I then be able to group them all together in one single PDF?

I feel I should know this but it's been so long since I've done this kind of work.

I use Acrobat XI Pro, allows conversion to pdf, creation of pdf, combining multiple files into one pdf etc. It is old, circa 2012 and is no longer supported by Adobe (the plus side being it does not require registration anymore) I have an ISO copy on disc if you think it could be useful.

Thanks all. Looks like Tombola is on to something. I'll have a play about with it when I'm back in the office tonight.

The function is bound to be in the tekla software and I'm guessing that link will get me there (y)

More than toes wet now!
The best free offline collection of pdf tools is pdf24.
Used it for a number of years and is excellent.
If you have a load of single pdf's you can just merge them all together into one using pdf24. You can also shift them about into any order you want, rotate them, annotate them, etc..............

Do you have a word processing package like Word?

If so an easy fix is to create a new blank document and set narrow margins.

Then bring up each of your pdf drawings on the screen and use the screen print capture button/key, then paste these onto your word document, one after the other. You can crop them to fit the page as you require.

At the end, send the document to print to your microsoft pdf printer (it should be one of the options under your printers). Just save as a file name relevant for the project, then voila, all your pdfs are on the single document.

Hope that all makes sense?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. They do all make sense but this one was really just as simple as this....

As in Tombolas link.

It would be a bit embarrassing if Teklas software didn't have the ability do do this on it's own rather than the various other methods mentioned on this thread. It's only my first model so all a bit new to me but that's all my drawings in a nice, neat, single PDF (y)
